Why a web studio is doing this

The gap

UHF handheld readers and paper RFID labels have been standard, affordable products for a few years. What a 2,000-item stockroom can't easily buy is the software: most small-business inventory apps don't read RFID, and RFID integrators size their projects for distribution centers. So small sites keep counting with a clipboard or a barcode gun, one label at a time.

OverRack puts the two together, and sells the result rather than the kit: we measure what an operation loses to counting, searching and replacing things, set up standard hardware with our own web app and counting app, and offer a set share of the savings measured in the customer's own records as an alternative to a fixed quote. One phone number, and a report before any decision.

Who we are

OverRack is a product of Web Landscapes LLC, a Florida company in Miami run by Javier Carnicer. We build web apps and sites on Cloudflare for clients; a recent one is a commission-tracking app that replaced a spreadsheet for a business with field staff. The OverRack app uses the same stack: Workers, a D1 database per customer, a web app that installs on a phone or handheld.

Where it stands

Early access. We are testing hardware samples now; the software is in development and its first release is being finished with pilot customers. Pilot customers keep their pilot terms for as long as they stay and have a say in what gets built next.

How we work

• Measure first. The assessment, the sample count and the report are free, and if your goods don't read well enough we say so in writing.
• Only savings that show up in your records count. We don't guarantee savings and we don't bill on estimates.
• Your data is yours. Export it as CSV any time; we delete it on request. Hardware you buy is yours and works with other RFID software.
• We measure read accuracy on your own items in the pilot and put the result in writing.
