3PLs and distributors: full counts without the weekend

For small and mid third-party warehouses, distributors and light manufacturers with ten to a hundred and fifty staff. We measure what full counts, overtime and wrong shipments cost you a year, then set up rack counts that take minutes. Pay a fixed quote, or a set share of the savings measured in your own records.

Where the money goes

Counts that close the building

A quarterly or annual physical that stops receiving and shipping for a day or two, with everyone on the floor and overtime on the payroll.

Chargebacks for wrong shipments

Credits, reshipping and client chargebacks logged one by one, each with a cost you already know.

Cycle counters whose job is the count

Staff hours spent walking with a scanner, one label at a time, to keep the client's numbers honest.

What changes

  1. Labels at the level you count

Paper labels on cartons and pallets keep the cost down; on-metal labels where the goods need them. The sample count during the assessment shows what reads through your packing before anything is bought.

  2. Count a rack in a pass

Walk the aisle; the reader picks up every label in range on both sides. The screen lists what it expected and didn't see, and what it saw that belongs elsewhere.

  3. Cycle counts every week, not every quarter

Because a count costs minutes, you run them often, and the annual physical becomes a check instead of an event.

  4. Feed your WMS

Your warehouse system stays the system of record. Counts export as CSV; we're the count layer, not a replacement.

What we'd measure with you

What we'd measure from a warehouse's records. Time spent looking is reported, never billed; how the baseline is set.

Good to know

We have a WMS with barcode scanning.

Keep it. The difference is bulk: a barcode needs each label in view, one at a time; the handheld reads every label in range, through cartons. Counts export to the WMS as CSV. Direct connections come after the pilots, built for the systems pilot customers use.

Does it read through pallets?

Through cardboard and plastic, yes, with range dropping as the packing gets dense. Not through metal or liquids, which is why the sample count uses your real goods and the report says what read and what didn't.

Our clients' goods are theirs. Can we tag them?

Tag at the level you count: the carton or the pallet, usually with a paper label beside the existing one. Where goods arrive already tagged, we read those tags.

Where are you?

Florida, working with warehouses anywhere in the US. The assessment and the setup are by video; the reader for the sample count ships to you with a return label.
